Question about the Two Witnesses and the Servant

Second_Temple

Question: How do the two witnesses of Revelations 11:3 fit with the end-time servant prophecy? Do they follow the end-time servant? Are they some of the servants he calls as mentioned in Jacob 5:70? Where does their ministry fit in the timeline of the last seven years before Christ comes?

Answer: Because a majority of Jews will believe in Jesus as a result of the gospel being preached to them by the servants whom the Lord’s end-time servant calls in fulfillment of the words of Isaiah (2 Nephi 30:7; 3 Nephi 20:29–45; cf. Jacob 5:70–74), these things occur before Jesus comes and before the two witnesses perform their end-time missions.

Although the Jerusalem temple will be built at that time, it will remain polluted until after Jesus appears on the Mount of Olives to the unbelieving Jews—in fulfillment of the prophecy of Zechariah—and until after the believing Jews have returned from their callout in the wilderness with the servant (Zechariah 12:10–14; cf. Isaiah 40:3; Revelation 11:1–3).
