When Jesus says, “Search the scriptures for in them you think you have eternal life, for they are those that testify of me” (John 5:39), or when the Book of Acts says, “They received the word with all readiness of mind and searched the scriptures daily whether those things were so” (Acts 17:11), they certainly had Isaiah in mind.
